It's warming up in the States, but over in Australia, it's just cooling down. Just because they're starting to layer up doesn't mean that we can't be inspired. Summer outfits can be created by taking bits and pieces from these autumn-friendly knockout looks. Sydney streets have some of the most laid-back, comfortable styles in the world. So if you love stylish loungewear, breezy daytime looks, and cool and comfy outfits for a night on the town, it's time to take some notes.
Pay special attention to Sydney Fashion Week looks if you:
It may be "less obvious" (i.e. no pom-pom stilettos or feather capes,) but it doesn't mean that this fashion is any less spectacular. Get inspired by the Australia street style looks from Sydney Fashion Week and check out the outfit ideas I've compiled for you to try this summer.

- Struggle finding the correct fit
- Consider your style "boho" or "casual luxe"
- Don't like over-the-top trends, and prefer less obvious fashion

luxe sport
Molly In Black is the name of the blog, so this look really speaks to me. Summer time calls for florals and brights and strings and bells and whistles...sometimes. Other times, feel free to take it back to black with an all-black look accented by a small pop of color. Red is one of my favorite contrast colors, and looks good on all skin types and with all hair colors. These red suede kicks are the perfect compliment to an otherwise low-key look. The best part of this look is that most pieces can be work all year round! For fall, layer up and switch out your shorts for some cool, distressed boyfriend jeans.
sky-high slit
Dress | Shoes | Sunglasses | Gold bangle | Black gem bracelet | Orange and gold bracelet | Nail polish
Orange (like red,) is a color that many women shy away from. It's either too bright, makes too big of a statement, or they feel it's not complimentary. The key to making orange work for you is keeping it simple, and then paying attention to details in your accessories. A thigh-high slit is a sexy way to show off some leg while still being appropriate for most occasions. The details here are in the jewelry, shoes, and sunglasses. Prints and textures are going to be your best friends with a dress in a solid color, so remember to accessorize! And don't forget about your pretty nails - a manicure is the perfect finish to any outfit.
cold shoulder
Perhaps one of the most popular trends this summer is the off-the-shoulder top. Not comfortable wearing sequins on a daily basis? Find a cut-out shoulder in a neutral color, and let your accessories shine. A metallic heel and a chunky necklace are the perfect pops of sparkle. Dress this look down with a boyfriend jean, or dress it up with a pencil or body con skirt. And how cute is that mini-bag?! I want one in every color.
